World of Warcraft Leveling Addon

Nowadays, leveling add-ons are getting more and more popular. Several months ago, people used leveling guides in PDF format, but now an in-game leveling guide is a much better option. Why? Because you don't have to alt+tab out of the game constantly to check what the guide says, besides you will see exactly what to do in the game.

Add-ons are simply little programs you stick in the Interface/add-ons directory and they add new functionality or modifications to the game. Understand first though, you can only modify how the game appears to you on the Client side, so don't think you can cheat with an add-on.

There's many popular add-ons like Cartographer, Gatherer and a bunch of Interface modifications.

The latest type of add-on is the In Game Leveling add-ons. Now, instead of alt-tabbing to check Thottbot to find out where some item is in the game or where to go to kill the creatures for a specific quest, the new leveling add-on will actually point an arrow to where to go for the quest you're working on.

There's only really a few different World of Warcraft Leveling add-ons available. Two of them are free and there's a few that you can buy. The problem with the free ones is some users report they use large amounts of memory slowing the game down. Others report the "routes" the free ones that tell you where to go aren't always accurate and don't get updated as often as some of the ones created by professional gamers.

If you haven't played without an in game leveling add-on, you are really missing out on an increased leveling speed experience.

I for one have played WoW since just after release and thought I didn't need anything to tell me where to go but, I'm the first to admit I was wrong, because these programs can compare quests and determine which is closer and quicker to complete.
Using an in game leveling add-on will save you hours of frustration with certain quests, increase your leveling speed and overall increase the enjoyability of World of Warcraft.
